Sam Matthews has been practicing counselling since 2015, both in the U.K. and Australia. Sam runs her own private practice in Andover and also has a therapy dog called Ollie for use. She uses a person centred approach with her clients and strategies from several modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to offer each client an individual based approach.
She has successfully helped many clients over the years suffering from various issues such as stress, depression, anxiety, health anxieties, crisis and trauma, PTSD, grief, various abuse issues, relationship issues, lack of confidence and self-worth and much more. Sam has also helped the Carers of Andover dealing with Dementia, Alzheimers, Parkinson’s and Huntingdons disease.
Sam is BACP registered and qualified to degree level, and continues with her professional development to enable her to offer the highest level of care and compassion to every client she sees. She has her own private practice in Andover which she works from and also has the use of a very calming dog called Ollie. Her aim is to help each client discover their own strength and ability to reach their goals and deal with issues to enable them to move forwards with confidence and belief.
